    Quarters Project 2024: Every quarter there will be a 4-track EP, each with its own dedicated genre and sonic theme.

    The Q1 EP is a set of tracks revolving around a genre I've started calling "3-step". There might be a better other name for it, but it's the middle ground between drum & bass and halftime with 3 kicks per bar in a 1/4. groove. I see it as the perfect blend for bouncing back and forth between full time and half time dnb and even though it's really not its own genre, I dove into it as if it was. I’m not the first and won’t be the last one to do it, but I wanted to put my own spin on it that I felt hadn’t been explored much before.
